Solving equations and inequalities; function properties and graphs with transformations; inverse functions; linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions with applications; systems of equations.

HIST 2055 The United States to 1865 (LSU)
A comprehensive history of early America, from pre-contact period through the Civil War. Students will learn the fundamentals of historical analysis by examining and writing about both primary and secondary sources.

HIST 2057 The United States from 1865 to the Present (LSU)
Introduction to historical analysis and analytical writing. Comprehensive history of modern America, from Reconstruction to the Present. Students will learn fundamentals of historical analysis by examining and writing about both primary and secondary sources.

HIST 1001 Western Civilization to 1500 (LSU)
Provides a survey of Western Civilization from its origins to approximately 1500 CE. Students will learn about the social, cultural, religious, and political history of the period. The primary goal of the course is to introduce the student to study of History as a discipline while investigating the history of Near Eastern, Greek, Roman and Medieval civilizations.

HIST 1003 Western Civilization since 1500 (LSU)
A survey on the trajectory of Western Civilization from 1500 CE to the present with an emphasis on the impact of ideas and actions on Europeans and others in the world. Students will learn about religion, intellectual developments, social changes, high and popular culture, and a series of political shifts during the period.

Introduction to analytical writing and academic research.

Introduction to engineering history, disciplines and principles of design.

IE 3201 Engineering Economy (LSU)
The Engineering Economy course is designed to teach students about the time value of money, cash flows occurring at different times with different amounts, and equivalence at different interest rates. These concepts will be used to evaluate engineering project proposals using well-accepted economic analysis techniques, such as present worth, future worth, capitalized cost, life-cycle costing, annual worth, rate of return, or benefit/cost analysis. Additionally, techniques such as replacement/retention studies, breakeven analysis, and payback analysis help make informed decisions about future uses of existing assets and systems.

Provides an understanding of human behavior and lays a foundation for additional work in psychology.

PSYC 233 - Psychology of Human Development (McNeese – Online)
Physical, psychological, and social aspects of the individual from conception to death. Cultural, social, and hereditary factors that affect the individual’s behavior throughout the life cycle.
